York Shakespeare Project

Sunday April 21, 7:30pm

York St John University Creative Arts Centre Auditorium

The York Shakespeare Project was set up in 2001 with the aim of performing all the Bard’s plays. That initial mission was completed in 2022 and the project is now tackling the entire canon again – with The Taming of the Shrew featuring in the present Festival.

Shakespeare’s Songs is a relaxed entertainment presenting an hour of music from past YSP productions of As You Like It (2008), Twelfth Night (2014), The Tempest (2022) and more. This revival of the successful 2023 show adds some new songs – from Love’s Labours Lost, Cymbeline and The Winter’s Tale – and sets the music in the context of the plays.

Tickets £5 all tickets – bookings through the link below

We want to make it possible for as many members of the community to come to festival performances, so please consider buying a Pass it On Ticket which we can offer to community members who may not otherwise be able to attend.
