Shake Fear | Break Walls – book launch

Sunday April 21, 6:00 pm

York St John University Creative Centre Atrium

In 2020, in the middle of a pandemic, Parrabbola travelled to Gdansk to make the final collaborative performance of a three year Creative Europe funded project – Shaking the Walls.

Now, three and a half years later, we launch the book that celebrates that project.

Come and join us – meet some of the artists that were part of the project, hear from the editor Clara Juncker and claim a copy of the book!

No need to book a ticket – just come along

“Authoritarianism, Borders, Censorship, Domestic Violence, Inequality.
The walls that divide us are everywhere; Not all of them can be seen. In this project, carried out by Parrabbola together with the Shaking the Walls project partners and members of the GdaƄsk community, we want to make these walls shake and perhaps watch some of them fall into ruins.
If Shakespeare wrote about it, why are they still topical? We haven’t learned anything over the years? Did we just not want to listen?
If we talk about it now, will you listen? Are you going to move these walls?”

Clara Juncker’s role in the project has been supported by York St John University, through their graduate internship programme
